Kentucky Jim

I’m a member of the Parklawn pool. There are a few fine fellas that play bluegrass, blues and old time music. I was lucky enough to be asked by them to do the bass duties. We’ve played a few times over the summer. Well this was the last pool gig of the year and it was a blast.

I forgot to mention in my previous post, I played the NS Design bass at Cool-Aid. And since we spent so much time there on Sunday, I just brought that bass to the pool and played it with the Deep Crater Boys. It sounded great and I’m really getting used to playing it as an upright bass instead of as a cool weird frettless bass. I put Innovation rockabilly strings on it and shimmed the bridge. It’s really a lot of fun. And so is playing with these fine Boys!
